Emma Harvey . . . At 3 years of age, Emma made her studio debut with a giggle. She joyfully introduces “Ride My See Saw”. Not only is she lovely and smart, she is an aspiring singer, already possessing great pitch and meter, plays the fiddle, has a guitar, and wants to play piano and mandolin like her Daddy. She likes to play dress-up, dance, color, and begs for a puppy. She has choreographed an energetic dance to her favorite song on Moody Bluegrass, “Singer In A Rock & Roll Band”. Emma Harvey will always have a stage.
 

 
Aubrey Haynie . . . In 2003, Aubrey gained two honors, the Academy of Country Music named him fiddle player of the year, and his latest solo release, "The Bluegrass Fiddle Album", won IBMA's Instrumental Album of the Year. Aubrey is a highly sought after session musician in Nashville and can be heard on hundreds of Top 40 Country records and virtually any country radio station. Aubrey has traveled extensively with distinguished talents, such as Aaron Tippin, Clint Black and The Issacs. Aubrey has done a brilliant job of fiddling on "Never Comes The Day".

Alison Krauss . . . As of 2004, has won more Grammy's than any other female artist, 17 to be exact. She has won 5 country music awards and 9 International Bluegrass Music Association Awards. Alison lends her beautiful harmonizing voice behind Tim O'Brien on "Land Of Make Believe" and introduced a "Bluegrass First” when she sang tenor vocal while Sam Bush sang baritone vocal behind John Cowan on "Nights In White Satin” . . . What a blend and such a charming arrangement for a "Bluegrass First”.

Keith Little . . . A native of Northern California, Keith is a consummate singer, songwriter and multi-instrumentalist. He has performed not only as a solo artist but also with such acts as Dolly Parton, Ricky Scaggs, Vern Williams, Rose Maddox and The Country Gentlemen. Keith’s compositions have been recorded by Claire Lynch, Longview, The White’s and Tim O’Brien. His bellowing banjo work can be heard on “Never Comes The Day”.

Tim May . . . Guitar guru, toured with Patty Loveless promoting her bluegrass album, “Mountain Soul” and also played in Eddie Rabbitt’s “Hare-Trigger Band”. Tim has recorded three albums with “Crucial Smith”. He has been featured in “Flatpicking Guitar Magazine”, “Bluegrass Unlimited” and “Bluegrass Now”. Tim’s rock solid rhythm & fiery flatpicking adds just the right texture which helps drive the 11 Moody Bluegrass cuts he appears on.
 
 
 

Patty Mitchell . . . One reviewer said this…”a remarkable warm and engaging voice… and just a great way with a tune.” Patty has lent her voice to a number of noteworthy recordings with artists like Ralph Stanley, Emmylou Harris, and Gail Davies. She also released her first solo project in January 2004. Here you will find Patty contributing a harmony vocal for “The Voice” sung by John Cowan.

Bob Mummert . . . A highly sought-after session player in Nashville, Bob has recorded and or traveled with Roy Orbison, Ricky Skaggs, Radney Foster, Gail Davies & Jim Lauderdale, to name just a few. His percussion is flawless and precise, yet not an intrusion. We think it is his trademark. Tim O'Brien . . . As of 2004 has been nominated for 3 Grammy’s, and he also won the 1993 International Bluegrass Music Association Male Vocalist of the Year. Tim was also the founding member of the band Hot Rize, which was the winner of the first IBMA Entertainer of the Year award in 1990. Tim does a fantastic job of lead vocal and a stellar octave mandolin performance on "Land Of Make Believe" and classic lead vocal work on "Legend Of A Mind".

Jon Randall . . . Earned a Grammy for his work with Emmylou Harris and the Nash Ramblers on "Live at The Ryman". Jon has also made guest appearances with such talents as Patty Loveless, Lyle Lovett, Lee Ann Womack, Bill Anderson, Sam Bush, Lorrie Morgan, Trisha Yearwood and many others. Jon lends his terrific tenor vocals on "I'm Just A Singer In A Rock And Roll Band” and "Legend Of A Mind”.

The Settles Connection . . .
The Settles Connection: Odessa Settles, Ira Wayne Settles, Calvin Settles, Todd Suttles . . . Odessa Settles, also a member of the Princely Players, brought her music production group The Settles Connection, to the studio to make magic. Odessa and two of her seven brothers, Calvin and Wayne along with long time friend Todd Suttles, make singing look fun and easy. After you hear them, it will come as no surprise that they are of Fairfield Four lineage. Check out their outstanding harmonizing on “Lovely To See You” and “Never Comes The Day”.

Tom Shinness . . . Got his first 6 string and formed his first band in the third grade. Tom plays a multitude of instruments and musical styles. He has worked as a teacher, sideman, session player, songwriter/composer and clinician. His C/D, “Translucent Harp” was recently featured on the front page of C/D Baby. Tom’s melodious harp guitar can be heard on “Late Lament”.

Russell Smith . . . Is the Grammy winning Amazing Rhythm Ace as well as the voice of rhythm and blue-grasser Rug Burns of Run C & W. He has penned many popular songs including “Third Rate Romance, Low Rent Rendezvous”. The George Jones’ C/D title song ‘The Rock”, was also composed by Russell, as well as “Friday Night In America” by The New Grass Revival. . He comes out and lends his bold baritone vocals on "Your Wildest Dreams".

Jill Snider . . . Is a former, Wild & Blue, band mate and is the sister in-law to producer, David Harvey. Jill sings clear and beautiful but also has that powerful bluegrass edge. Additionally, she is a strong upright bass player. Her quick wit, along with her stellar musicianship, always made her a fan favorite. David wanted to feature Jill and Jan’s sibling, hand-in-glove, harmonies, once again, which were a trademark of Wild & Blue. You’ll hear her lovely tenor soaring on “It’s Up To You”. Jill currently works for the International Bluegrass Music Association in Nashville, TN.
 
 
 
Andy Todd . . . Is the foundation of the Moody Bluegrass recording. Andy has recorded and traveled with Charlie Sizemore, Kevin Williamson, Pam Gadd, and David Peterson & 1946. Currently, you can see him performing with Harley Allen and Traylor Parker. He is an expert Luthier, building banjos for Huber Banjo Co. Andy’s premiere bass work can be heard on 11 of the Moody Bluegrass tracks.
